Created in celebration of Hogmanay, ‘Highland Fling’ has been covered in the popular Grant tartan which has been overlaid with inserts of silver net to which a scattering of red beads has been added. Silver braid has been applied to the upper edges inset with dark red and miniature silver rhinestones. A silver red thistle and floral embellishment under a wave of black ostrich feathers is set on the left hand side and, in a “nod” to Scottish mythology the central highlight suggests an encrusted shield framed by dragon horns under which glares the eyes of a lion.
