‘Ione’ has been covered with a jewel-like purple-shot jersey over which has been laid inserts of vintage lace edged with dark purple miniature rhinestones. An unusual deconstructed brooch re-embellished with rhinestones and a purple teardrop cabochon forms the eye-catching centrepiece, with a variety of hand-spritzed silver/black braid, pearl beading, rhinestones, antique silver lace and lustrous Swarovski pearls providing additional highlights. A flourish of purple and black ostrich feathers added a finishing touch.
